A native of St. Simons Island, Ben Galland has a degree in Visual Communication from Berry College. He has published five books with The University of Georgia Press: a 4-book series highlighting Georgia’s barrier Islands, and an in-depth portrait of historical tabby structures along the southeastern US coast. His photography has been featured in publications such as National Geographic and Garden & Gun and is a regular contributor to The Bitter Southerner. As a founding partner of h2o, Ben brings his energetic passion for photography and creativity to every client. From food to tourism, lifestyle, landscape, and marketing photography, he is a storyteller, thriving on collaboration and energy, forever seeking out the most artistic approach to his work. When not behind a camera, good luck finding him… he’s deep in the woods or riverways, camping and working on one of his many art projects.
